The magical setting of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild becomes a winter wonderland this festive season with two exquisite cultural offerings.
On 18th November, Lithuanian quartet NICO presents its iconoclastic interpretation of classical music repertoire, from Vivaldi to Bach, through the music of two violins, a cello, a double bass and a piano. The evening begins at 6.30pm with a concert on the patio before a champagne interlude and a second act of music. Attendance to the show with a glass of champagne costs 40€. Guests who would like to enjoy a candlelit dinner at the glamourous property can pay an additional 55€ for the pleasure (excluding drinks), and reservations are highly recommended.
The intimate 'Tis the Season: Diva Opera’s Christmas Show soirée, which begins at 6.30pm on 16th December, includes an opening performance on the patio before guests enjoy a champagne interval. Accompanied by maestro Bryan Evans and directed by Cameron Menzies, the thoroughly Anglophone cast includes Richard Suart, Caryl Hughes, Elizabeth Karani, David Stephenson and Ashley Catling. As at last year's performance, the show will be staged in full period costume. Following the second phase of traditional British carols, those attending will be treated to a guided tour of the property (available in English and French). The price for the event is 90€ per person and dinner at the restaurant is proposed at an additional 60€. Reservations must be made in advance.
