At the very top of the luxurious JW Marriott Cannes hotel hides a summer events haven: the very stylish rooftop called Le Panorama Rooftop Snack & Bar. The roof terrace is aptly named as it offers the most beautiful view over the Mediterranean.
Competing with the famous bottom floor JW Grill Cannes restaurant, which likely is the hotel’s signature venue. Le Panorama Rooftop Snack & Bar is the perfect place for a drink on one of those long summer evenings, where you can bring friends and family alike as it is open to everyone. On the terrace, you will find a beach-like atmosphere beside a refreshing rooftop pool, where casual lounge furniture goes together with more regular tables. On the menu, the JW rooftop offers a selection of traditional cocktails in the hotel’s signature glassware as well as champagne, beers and a good choice of spirits, in addition to poolside dishes and snacks such as burgers and tuna tartar.
Unsurprisingly and due to its beachfront spot on the Croisette, the JW rooftop must be the best place to watch the International Fireworks Festival. The festival is held a couple of nights during the summer months when Cannes’ sky shines in incredible colours. For the occasion, JW Rooftop offers exclusive events on July 21, 29 and on August 7, 15 and 24 from 8 pm. Those nights will highlight exclusive gourmet diners and the bar will be open, but booking is required. The Palais Stéphanie private beach will also be open on the nights of the firework displays with dinner menus from 85 to 115 euros. The JW Marriott private beach organises “Old School” parties every Friday from 8 pm and special free admission events in collaboration with BE FIRST on August 3rd and 31.
Located on the site of the former Palais des Festivals, built to host the Cannes Film Festival, Le Panorama Rooftop Bar is open in the evening but also throughout the day for drinks and the hotel’s rooftop pool, where you can take a refreshing dip between beverages. Plus, the JW Rooftop offers after-work parties, with valet parking, tapas and sushis, every Thursday from 6 pm to 1 am. Which is plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic views over the bay of Cannes and the surrounding area.
Overall, this hidden Cannes rooftop is perfect for a casual sunny lunch or some after-work cocktails while looking out over the sea.
