The Envibus network has launched a new mobile application that hopes to simplify and streamline public transport travel for residents in the Communauté d'Agglomération de Sophia Antipolis (CASA). As he presented the digital tool – Envibus Ticket – on Wednesday 10th January, Mayor of Antibes Jean Leonetti said, “We must question why people still use their car, particularly when travelling into a town centre!”
The application allows users to create a profile for themselves and their dependents, purchase tickets (1€ each or 8€ for 10 tickets), access live information about the network and the next bus on a specific route, and use the Paca Mobilités calculator to efficiently plan travel in the region.
This digitalised form of Envibus tickets will be accepted on all routes, however, users travelling on the wider 200 bus (Nice to Cannes, and operated by Lignes d'Azur) will have to purchase separate tickets onboard.
Envibus currently operates 27 urban routes in addition to numerous school services throughout the Agglomerative Community of Sophia Antipolis, which includes towns and cities such as Antibes, Biot, Juan-les-Pins, Valbonne, Vallauris and Villeneuve-Loubet. During winter months, the network also runs a service that stretches up to Gréolières: the Navette des Neiges between Antibes and the mountain town.
