The 7th edition of the annual St. Tropez Ladies Regatta will take place from 5th to 7th May. To accommodate the huge demand for the race, the committee has had to increase the number of competing sailboats from eighteen to twenty four!
The St. Tropez Ladies Regatta is, above all, an event dedicated to the female sailors and captains who take to the helm every year in the traditional Mediterranean manner and is strictly by invitation only for competitors. Among the contestants are the Fife ‘Moonbeam III 1903’, which has not yet missed an edition of the regatta, and the former sailboat of John F. Kennedy, Manitou 1937, the winner of the 2013 regatta. The races will take place in the Gulf of Saint Tropez under the control of a predominantly female committee, led by Michelle Urando.
Spectators can admire the majestic sailboats and their sailors from the port of Saint Tropez during the race on Friday and Saturday. The programme also includes a cocktail drinks reception and a crew party. Sunday will see the culmination of the festival with the awards ceremony at 5pm.
