A 'symbol of national unity'

The city of Nice is calling on its residents to fly a French flag from their windows and balconies this weekend in honour of those who lost their lives during the terror attack on the Promenade des Anglais two years ago.

Officials have described the flag as a ‘symbol of national unity’ and are asking everyone to get behind the initative, which was started last year. This Saturday, 14th July, also marks France’s national day or Bastille Day as it is often called.
