When summer arrives, will you be heading for the beach or the freshness of the mountains? If it’s the latter, you’ll be happy to hear that, for the first time, Aéroport Toulon Hyères will be operating bi-weekly SWISS flights between the Var and Geneva from June to September (in addition to the current weekly Air France flight).
Taking just one hour and ten minutes, the three-times weekly flight (Thursday and Sunday by SWISS, and Saturday by Air France) opens the door to not only one of the world’s leading financial centres, but also to an area renowned for its stunning countryside and landscapes.
President of Var Tourisme and Vice-President of the Departmental Council Françoise Dumont says of the SWISS addition to Toulon Airport’s schedule: “We invited SWISS to come and discover our magnificent region several months ago. Seduced by the attractiveness of the département, the company now offers a route between Switzerland – as well as the French border regions of Ain, Jura and Haute-Savoie – and the Var. We are looking forward to the launch of the flight.”
Laurence ERBS, Director of Toulon Hyères Airport, says: “2018 will be a busy and exciting year as we return to growth. This new destination demonstrates the tremendous potential of the routes departing from Toulon Hyères, an airport ideally located in the heart of the Var.”
