American hedge fund manager Larry Robbins has reportedly spent a staggering four million euros on his second marriage to former dancer Sarahmay Wesemael in the French Riviera. The Wall Street giant splashed out on a lavish ceremony and four days of partying on the exclusive peninsula of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.
With a four million euro budget, the possibilities were endless for the 42-year-old mogul and his 33-year-old girlfriend. But what does that kind of money get you on the Riviera?
The billionaire reportedly rented a Boeing 767 and flew 100 of his Wall Street buddies and socialites out to the south of France to join him and his wife for four days of celebrations and festivities.
The wedding took place on Saturday 9th June in the majestic Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat which Robbins reportedly took over completely to ensure maximum privacy and security for him and his bride.
Other items on his four million euro wedding bill included the rental of numerous classic and vintage cars for the groom and his guests, which they reportedly took on a countryside drive through the Côte d'Azur.
At the age of 42, Robbins made a name for himself over a decade ago when he started up Glenview Capital Management with his first wife Amy Robbins. Now worth an estimate 4.5 billion euros, Robbins is an impressive financial leader in the States and has been described as being "one of the most optimistic hedge fund managers around" by Business Insider magazine.
This isn't the first time the banking mogul has made headlines for his excessive spending habits. In 2007, Robbins riled his neighbours in New Jersey when he commissioned and built an ice rink in his back garden.
